Loudoun's Giving Hearts

A Local Spotlight on Service, Support & Connection

Miss Virginia 2025 • Loudoun County Native
When Madison Whitbeck walks into a room, she carries the unmistakable blend of warmth, poise, and genuine heart that could only come from someone raised in a community that believed in her from the beginning. A Leesburg native and the newly crowned Miss Virginia 2025, Madison has spent the past year traveling across the Commonwealth, visiting schools, advocating for arts accessibility, and representing Virginia on the national stage. But no matter where her journey takes her, Loudoun County remains home.

Growing up in Loudoun, Madison describes her childhood as “privileged in the best sense of the word,” surrounded not by luxury but by opportunity. She was raised in a community that valued creativity and the arts—school musicals, local performances, and training with Ignite the Light Performing Arts, where she later became a vocal coach. “Loudoun gave me space to dream,” she says. “It gave me people who believed in me long before I believed in myself.”

Through her platform, Arts for All, Madison is committed to ensuring every child in Virginia—regardless of zip code, income, or background—has access to arts education. Traveling across the state, she has seen firsthand the contrast between well-funded programs and schools struggling to offer arts education. “A creative outlet is just as necessary to hone soft skills as academic education is to hone technical skills,” she says.

The Miss Virginia School Tour, sponsored by the Virginia ABC Authority, allows her to reach thousands of students with arts-based confidence-building and messages about leadership and making smart choices. She also partners with Global Game Changers to help students discover their “superpowers,” the strengths that make them unique.

Madison’s passion for giving back is rooted in her own Loudoun upbringing. She credits local nonprofits, theaters, youth programs, and arts organizations for shaping her path—and encourages residents to support the next generation. “There are so many ways to get involved,” she says. “You can donate, volunteer, attend performances, or simply share resources. Small actions add up.”

Outside of her Miss Virginia duties, Madison is pursuing a Commercial Voice degree at Belmont University, performing in over 30 shows, appearing in Christmas at Belmont, and singing with Southbound. Whether she becomes a recording artist, steps onto the Grand Ole Opry stage, or works behind the scenes in the music industry, Loudoun will always be part of her story.
“Everything I am was built here,” she says. “Any impact I make is really Loudoun’s impact too.”
