COLLEYVILLE NATURE CENTER - 101 Mill Wood Drive, Colleyville 817-503-1180 - colleyvilleparksandrec.com - A beautiful park that is stroller and bike friendly. Many people come here to fish in the ponds. It includes 46 acres of natural refuge, nine ponds and 3.5 miles of multi-use trails.
PARR PARK - 3000-3098 Parr Lane, Grapevine - gograpevine.com - This is an excellent park to visit, be sure to spend time at the Rock Trail. They have playground equipment, picnic tables, a water area for warmer weather, restrooms and great trails to ride your bike on or walk. This park links up to the Bear Creek trail system.
HORSESHOE TRAIL AT LAKE GRAPEVINE - Off Dove between Park and Silvercrest, Grapevine - gograpevine.com - There is plenty of parking to these trails at the entrance on Dove Loop in Grapevine. There are many water fountains for dogs which is nice. You can walk, run, ride your bike (even off-rode biking) at Horseshoe Trail. This trail is mostly paved, but you can take some excursions that take you on dirt paths.
OAK GROVE PARK AND TRAIL - 2520 Oak Grove Loop S., Grapevine 817-410-3450 - gograpevine.com - This is a 4.3 mile out and back trail near Grapevine. It is great for biking, running and walking. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. Nice views of Lake Grapevine along the way. The park is lakefront with picnic tables, sports fields and swimming.
THE PARKS AT TOWN CENTER - 1100 Bear Creek Parkway, Keller 817-743-4000 - cityofkeller.com - This is part of the Bear Creek Trail System. It can be accessed from Bear Creek Parkway or Keller-Smithfield Road. It is beautiful with bridges and an abundance of nature to enjoy. There is a butterfly garden, 2 lakes, a playground and a great place to walk or cycle.
TROPHY CLUB PARK - 2885 Trophy Park Drive, Trophy Club 682-237-2993 - trophyclub.org - There is something for everyone at this park. They offer ATV & Motocross tracks, disc golf, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and much much more. While hiking through miles of open and wooded trails you are very likely to see some wildlife so keep your eyes open.
BOB JONES NATURE CENTER & PRESERVE - 355 E Bob Jones Road, Southlake - experiencesouthlaketexas.com - There are over 20 miles of hiking trails at this fantastic place. There are a few access points so you may want to go to the Nature Center and start from there until you learn your way around.
BICENTENNIAL PARK – 450 W. Southlake Blvd., Southlake – experiencesouthlaketexas.com - Bicentennial Park is Southlake's premiere park. There are baseball fields, gardens, Pickleball courts, tennis, playgrounds, trails and more. It even has zip lines.
FW BOTANIC GARDENS - 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd, Fort Worth 817-463-4160 - fwbg.org - It is worth the drive to Ft. Worth to see this beautiful 120 acres of gardens. You will find stunning garden views, horticultural displays, exciting exhibits, gift shop, a cafe and more.
