We recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in our courts and communities. With a CASA volunteer, a child is half as likely to languish in foster care and the child welfare system, and he or she is that much more likely to find a safe, permanent home.

Newnan-Coweta Humane Society (NCHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the number of pets euthanized in Coweta County. Though we are not Coweta County Animal Services, we work closely with that organization and many more to be as impactful as we can.

Backpack Buddies of Georgia
https://backpackbuddiesga.org/
Backpack Buddies provides economically disadvantaged children in the Coweta County School System with food for the weekend. Many children in our county are dependent on the "Free and Reduced" lunch program provided by their schools during the week, and they have very little to eat over the weekends and holidays. We work with school counselors to identify children "at risk" for hunger and then we supply them with nutritious, self-serve food that will sustain them when school meals are not available. We are currently serving 1,150+ children in 33 schools, which is only scratching the surface of the true need here in Coweta County.

Abby's Angels Foundation
https://abbysangelsfoundation.org/
Abby’s Angels Foundation was created in August 2013 to forever honor 9-year-old Abby Bacho. With the assistance of guidance counselors and teachers, school supplies are provided to students with limited resources through Abby’s Closet. Abby’s Closets are colorful nooks that give much more than the pencils, crayons, and notebooks they stock. These warm cheerful spaces also provide encouragement and inspiration to succeed.
Abby’s Angels also spreads awareness and education regarding safe teen and hands-free driving.
