The Holland Family
Justin, Neely, Wiley Beth, and Culli
The Holland family's connection to Rockwall dates back to the late 1800s. Justin Holland's Irish ancestors, the Cullins Family, first settled in Ellis County, Texas, before moving to Heath in 1896. Notably, his great-grandfather, John Wilburn Cullins, was Heath’s inaugural Chief of Police in the 1970s. Additionally, Justin’s maternal grandfather held the position of Rockwall County Constable for 19 years. Today, Justin, his wife Neely, and their daughters Wiley Beth and Emma Cullins (Cullie) proudly represent the seventh generation of the family to live in Heath.
Justin graduated from Rockwall High School in 2002. He continued his academic journey at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005. Later, he earned a Master of Science degree in Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2008. Neely's roots trace back to the Panhandle of Texas with family roots in ranching and construction. The couple's paths crossed at Texas Tech, where Neely graduated in 2006. She later earned an M.B.A. in Marketing from Dallas Baptist University in 2009. The couple exchanged wedding vows in 2008 in Amarillo.
While Justin passed his real estate license exam in 2006 and briefly worked with his family’s real estate agency, he initially pursued a career in community banking from 2007 to 2013. Nevertheless, real estate remained his calling. His father, Lance Holland, co-founded Regal Realtors in Rockwall in 1991. A teenage Justin began his involvement in the business, assisting the agency with signage and promotional materials. After his father's passing in 2011, Justin made a full-time return to Regal Realtors in 2013. The subsequent year saw Justin assume a co-ownership role, helping to propel the company's evolution alongside business partner Leighton Pinkham. Today, they command a force of over 200 agents, spanning areas from Dallas and Fort Worth to East Texas, Austin, and Amarillo.
Service runs in the Holland bloodline. Drawing inspiration from figures like former Texas Governor and U.S. President George W. Bush, Justin ventured into politics. He served as a Councilman for the City of Heath from 2011-2016. Currently, he serves as the State Representative for Texas House District 33, a position he's held since 2017. He frequently travels to Austin, serving as the House Chairman of the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission, with his commission term set to conclude in 2025.
Neely's professional journey started at the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, where she championed resources and support for individuals with Down Syndrome. Over the years, her dedication to community service has seen her work with numerous non-profit organizations. Presently, she works with Student MPACT Ministries, unifying churches, schools, and businesses across Rockwall and Rowlett. At the heart of her world, however, she remains a devoted mother, guiding her two daughters through school, church, and other community engagements such as HHCA Cheer Board, Amy Parks PTO Board and Lakepointe Church youth small group leader and teacher.
Eleven-year-old Wiley Beth, a 6th grader at Amy Parks Elementary is a straight-A student and has a penchant for science, aspiring to be a veterinarian when she grows up. Beyond academics, she's been a cheerleader since kindergarten and has a budding passion for ballet. Her younger sister, nine-year-old Cullie, is also an academic achiever with straight-A grades. She mirrors her sister's enthusiasm for dance and cheer but leans more toward “hip-hop” dancing. The two share a love for fashion, reading, and quality time with their mother, Neely. The Holland household wouldn't be complete without Bo, their two-year-old black Labrador hunting dog.
Despite their hectic lives, the Hollands prioritize family moments. Their Sunday dinners are a sacred ritual, and they're actively involved in the Lakepointe Church community. When vacation time beckons, Florida's Emerald Panhandle coast is their go-to destination, though trips to Amarillo to visit Neely's family are also cherished. Busy schedules for this family mean date nights for Neely and Justin have to be planned! Neely and Justin work to ensure that they carve out time for each other, often indulging in date nights at some of Rockwall's finest eateries such as Bin 303, Standard Service, Giovanni, Culpepper and Oar House.
Since 2008, the Hollands have moved between several homes in the Heath area. They currently reside in the Stoneleigh neighborhood. Their commitment to the community is evident: they're active members of the community and support numerous local organizations. Embracing their rich heritage, the Hollands are both proud and grateful to call Rockwall County their home.
