Welcome to Stuart and the Treasure Coast, where you are truly surrounded by hidden gems. As a popular tourist destination, the population swells during the winter months but continues to remain a relatively quiet, laid-back place to live and play year-round. A welcoming family-friendly community, you will always feel like you have come home.
Beaches aside, the Treasure Coast is home to world-class golf, Major League Baseball spring training and nationally awarded higher education. We are a culturally rich community, diverse with theater and art that rival big cities. The Treasure Coast is a highly regarded fishing haven, with Stuart sitting right in the middle of what is called Sailfish Alley. It is appropriately named the Sailfish Capitol of the world.
History is threaded throughout the Treasure Coast. Here you have the opportunity to hike along interpretive trails, explore how the Navy SEALS first began in Fort Pierce, see firsthand the work of the Highwaymen, step back in time at the House of Refuge, and experience old Florida at the Seminole Inn. There are so many more historical landmarks peppered throughout Martin and St. Lucie County. It’s worth the time to discover why this slice of heaven is so special.
Always looking for a way to celebrate and share our passions, along with supporting our nonprofits, the Treasure Coast could also be named the festival capitol of the world. In other words, we like to have a good time while supporting great causes. Great food, great music and the peaceful, easy going energy that is reminiscent of days gone by.
This is the Treasure Coast.
